Default Electric window issue

Hi I have been looking around the site for the answer but cannot find it so here goes,

I have just bought a 2001 Mondeo TD LX with all four electric windows before I completed the purchase I checked each window from the main switch bank in the drivers door, they all worked. Today I have discovered that the passengers side and the rear ones wont work off there individual switches, obviously as they work from the main switch banks its not the motors. If I lower the passengers side from the main bank and then try to use the passengers switch the window only goes up whatever way the switch is pressed.

Any help appreciated
Neil

Default electric windows

Thanks for the tip but I think the switch only controls the rear ones when children are on board, The windows do not operate with the isolater switch in either position.

Hello. Did you ever resolve your windows issue only I have a problem with opening and closing windows which isn't the switch cluster. Cheers

Hi Yes mine turned out to be the individual window switches and not the main cluster, go on ebay and buy just one at first and try it Removal and fitting is pretty straightforward.
Good luck

52 Mondeo hatchback

Following on from my post some time ago;

Drivers window will go down from the key but not up.
Fuses, window motor/controller, part number 013821771 and drivers door switch cluster all tested and ok.
Other windows from cluster, key and individual switches are ok.
Any ideas please? Thank you
