i recently bought a 2005 transit connect with full ford service history
and a knocking bottom end it was still running but very noisy and you could say leaking oil
on inspection look what i found
a hole in the block

and the other side



cant belive it ran like this. it looks like the conrod came off the piston and caused all this damage.
so new engine built up ready to go in the van.
van cost me 700 replacment engine 250 so a bargin imo.

 

We had a connect in at work and it had a oil leak and the manager told the driver do bring it to the garage.This also shot a con rod through the bloke.I 3 years of me working for the royal mail we have only changed 2 tranny connect engines.We have a normal tranny in waiting a engine.This will be the first one we have changed in the 3 years of me.been there.

Then there is the vauxhall combos.......... i will say no more.

 

i had an rs engine do that in my old 90spec rst,

guy wasnt too pleased when i bought it and drove it onto the trailer and laid oil down the communial driveway


ran really really weld considering it had a leg out the side and no oil it in, really quiet with the odd ding of the loose rod clipping around
