Default Are Cosworth handbrake cables all different lengths?

Does anyone know if the handbrake cables are different lengths from 3dr to Sapphire to Escort or if 2wd is different to 4wd.

Basically I went to fit my rear brakes to the 3dr project and I have a big disk kit so moves the caliper out but the cable would not reach, the cable is a brand new 2wd item.

After messing about for ages I removed the new cable to check it against the old one. On measuring the new cable is 140mm shorter than the old.

Anyone know what lengths the cables should be or if when fitting the 300mm rear disk kit you should use a different cable.

3 door and saph are definitely different lengths. Would assume Escort is too.

Most parts catalogues will list the cable length though. Below taken from Firstline, and I think should all be disc brake models

Sierra 3dr 3380mm
Saph 3380m
Escort 06/92 to 11/92 3150mm
Escort 11/92 to 01/95 3220mm

Granada 3725mm
Scorpio's/Ultimas 3760mm or 3800mm

sounds like you have an escos one as they are shorter due to the reduced wheelbase. I believe all the sierra cosworh ones are the same length as they have the same wheelbase

I think the point has been missed slightly, after fitting bigger brakes and relocating the calipers slightly, on the standard 4x4 setup the cable is fine
