Hi chaps , I'm going bike carbs on Cvh and was wondering what cam to upgrade to ? And weather to get a set of solid lifters to go along with if? Any tips ?

I would get a cvh33 from Kent and a decent set of double valve springs

Solid lifters are only needed over 7k, with a ported head and cvh33 on dcoe carbs will see 130bhp+

Or get a nice Newman look for something that the power band is no higher than 7k

Ice got a cvh that revs to 8800rpm but has had thousands spent

I am not very keen on kent, I got a warped one, then one with un even lobes - I ended up getting one from newman cams this was right first time!

 

im on a newman with my new engine ....

give burtons a ring mate they will sell you the right bits to suit the rest of the spec
