I would get a cvh33 from Kent and a decent set of double valve springs

Solid lifters are only needed over 7k, with a ported head and cvh33 on dcoe carbs will see 130bhp+

Or get a nice Newman look for something that the power band is no higher than 7k

Ice got a cvh that revs to 8800rpm but has had thousands spent
