One of my prezies from the wife, played for a couple of hours this afternoon in campaign mode off line and it blew me away with the effects and the realisum of it. X-Box 360 btw.

No bullshit music like MW3, just all out war and tacticals etc

Spent 5 minutes online with it didn't know what the fuck was going on so walked away till I've learnt it a bit lol

Anyone else get it and happy with it?

 

I've just got it too, its a long long way from playing on mario on an n64
It seems to be a good game, i died about 10 times with five mintues. Addictive tho

It's awesome, jet fights are great fun.

I cancelled beers round my house tonight as the wife don't feel well, want her to fall asleep now so I can put battleField3 back on lol

 

Wasn't a fan when I gave it a play to be honest, but I might just be too used to COD controls and movement etc.

You gota get it mate, I know a bloke at work who's recommended it to me for ages, he plays in on the PC and on BattleField2 he was ranked top 100 in the world, he's proppa hard core on it

 

On this most nights, amazing game! Was a big fan of bad company 2 aswell.

its a great game, the game play itself can get very intense . my only disappointment was that the campaign seemed quite short and id completed it quite quickly. im not an intense gamer so i usually like to get a couple of weeks out of a game before completion.
all this BF3 v MW3 stuff goes over my head, theyre both great games with great graphics. MW3 seemed to last a bit longer though.

have not played a 3rd person shooter for years, but enjoyed BF3.

 

I have played call of duty 3 way back when didnt get the hang of it, more used to racing games and gta style. Am i missing out ?

 

BF3 is a first person?. can you set it to 3rd person mode? i prefer 3rd person where you see the whole character , like GTA.

 

i used to hate first person games, also prefering 3rd person like gta but after trying an old COD i then went and bought all the old games in the series and the new ones. its epic. your definately missing out.

got it on pc ... awesome game.... very hard to stay alive... yeah im crap at it ..
enjoy it though.... huge maps rather than the piddly ones on cod...

I quite enjoyed the single player campaign.

I was a bit disappointed with the online play, I was under the impression it was going to be similar to the original battlefield 2. It's just the same as bad company 2 really. I thought it'd be back to more detail with commanding available etc.

 

i've got the xbox controller on the pc, its much better with the mouse and keybourd although flyings easier with the pad.

Had it on PCV since launch, but having lots of connection issues. So, went and bought it on PS3, guess what, same bloody connection issues. Never stay on line for more than 10 minutes!!!

I had to play campaign again tonight as I coouldn't conect to X-Box live all evening

 

BF3 is awesome! COD is child's play in comparison.
Its hard at first but the more you play it the easier it will get (better guns and know the maps)
Its pretty tactical... best when you have 4 of your mates in your squad and you all have head sets.... I've found it best If 2 of you be a medic to revive each other and the other 2 be assault to replenish ammo!
You also have "perks" which you can level up to "squad perks" (so your whole squad benefit your perk) If all 4 of you pick different perks makes you a stronger team!!!

If you do the co-op missions you will unlock better guns for in the multiplayer!

i've only done the one co op mission, everytime i do the helicopter mission it puts me in the gunner seat and the guy flying, well cant!

yeah the heli one is fun ... played alot with a good friend of mine but nowhere as much as bf2 tbh ... but will be playing at some stage today ...
helis are not that hard unlike bad company .. hardest part isfinding a gunner/pilot who has any idea and crashes as soon as they take off ..
kinda miss playing bf2 ...
