Where are you measuring to get 50"
I am using an Atlas from a 1.1 mk2 Escort (fitted to most european escorts), but they measure the standard 53" to the outside of the drums. Capris are 57". Didn't know there was a 50"??

Then it sounds like a european mk2 escort, the same as mine, they measure about 53 1/2". Ratios are usually 3.89:1. Mine is 4.11:1!! Or could be from a mk 1 capri.

Getting rare now, and known more as the baby atlas, a lot of people think these only came from mk1 capris, but they did live in escorts too.

You need a atlas from a capri,i think mk1 capris had 50inch atlas, and the 2.8 had the full 54 inch

Every person I talk to has a different opinion of this. If it is a fact, which bit fails? I ran a 5.0L mustang engine through one of these in mk1 cortina and didn't break it, and I am now fitting one to a zetec turbo'd model 'A' truck I'm building, so fingers crossed

Does it look like this ? http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthre...highlight=koln

The atlas has more uniform bolts so you can easily tell them apart
