a mate brought round his escossie wheels for me to try on the escort.
not sure tho.
whats your thoughts on this folks.?????????????
sorry about pic quality!!!!!!!!
I did see a red s2 turbo down the ace cafe with escos rims on which did look hard but it had an s1 kit on it as they stick out a bit more, would only fit em with an s1 kit on
Is there anyway to machine the surface of the wheels so they sit in a bit more? but cldnt do it much as the inner rim might fowl suspension i suppose.....doh scrap that idea. lol
Tony fella, now you've posted pics up, i've changed my mind. Agree with Reecey that yours fill the arches so much better...altho I'm right on the ride height of your car. Look how high the back end looks compared to the front: check the line of the side skirt *(Could be the camera angle). Angles upwards towards the rear, not saying it's bad, just saying that the whole car would sit lower & you'd be able to get the rear bumper lower as well. In the top pic with the cossie alloys, it does appear to sit level. It does look good with the esccos wheels tho, just don't fill the arches out as much.
the ride height at the back should always be slightly above the front, otherwise when u accelerate you will never have traction and the arse will always be trying to over take the front on corners.
i'l let you all into a secret!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in the pics with the 16's their is 2 gearboxs in the boot
if i left the 16's on i'd need to lower the back more..........
only got 55mm clearance between front splitter and the ground with the 16's.
