Default Power steering

Hi all. Took my 2wd sapphire out yesterday and it started leaking power steering fluid. Noticed the steering getting heavier and it then started making a noise when turning the wheel. Had to get it back home and clearly I cldn't help but use the steering. When I stopped there was a pool of fluid under the car, and when I lifted the bonnet I got a faceful of fluid spraying up. It was dark though so cldn't tell why it was leaking.
Question is though, am I likely to of caused any damage to the pump/rack? The journey home was probably about 2 miles.

After further examination today in the daylight. it is leaking from behind the pulley, not from a hose, and appears to be leaking only when actually turning the wheels.

This started after I had changed the fan belts, so is it just a case of over tightening the power steering belt? Or is it bearings etc that will leak even if I slacken the belt a little? Can the seals/bearings be replaced? And am I likely to of damaged the pump or rack by losing the fluid?
