Looks to me that he is not a scammer looks like they are trying to sell it to someone he has vetted by posting he will remove bids if you havent contacted him first. Sounds like he will remove from ebay if he is not happy with the high bids just before the end and to avoid sellers fees

 

i think he is a scammer, probably wants a deposit to let you bid, and the car is way to cheap a 2.5k gotta be worth 5 at least
