sorry if its a daft question,the dvla website is not to helpfull,a mate is looking at getting a cortina mk 1 or 2 but replacing the engine for a zetec or cosworth.how would taxing it work? would he need to? were not sure how to go on with it

 

Taxed at the rate of the oldest between engine or body.
MOT emissions test is whatever applies to the the oldest as well.

Needs to declare engine change to DVLA
