Diesel hits £1.60 a litre in watford!!!!! Now £1.70
Heard on the news earlier that diesel in watford has got to £1 59.9p a litre
With the planned 3p increase in jan that takes it to £1.63 a litre
Unfuckin real, when will it stop?

its beyond a joke the fuel pricing, as its simply the goverments greed as the poor sods that run the petrol stations and the suppliers get less than half what the goverment rips us off for, we pay for road tax, insurance, Mots and vat on every single thing we buy or spend on our cars, and our roads are in shit condition we are simply the goverments bitch and treated as mugs by them, no wonder fuel theft has gone up by 30%

to take light from some of the other threads, what station was it Facebook FM pmsl.
But seriously, I agree, if the Govt don't put a cap on it soon, as said above, back will come a massive incease in fuel thefts of all types, and more haulage businesses going under, more prices going up due to it etc etc.
When will the mong brained politicians realise it's a vicious circle of their own creation............coooonts.!!!!

wouldnt surprise me if its a small convenience station.
even in cheap stoke where its 128.9 petrol, petrol at the small asian run convenience rip off places will be listed 137.9 or more.
Fuel pricing is only going to go up.
current revenue is approx £26 billion per year. Im sure it could be got from elsewhere.
£26 billion is NOT that much in the big scheme of things. eg NHS = £100 billion a year etc
Id suggest bump alcohol and cigarette tax up massively as its a non essential luxury so people can either pay up or go without. Cut more benefits, cut speed camera funding etc and controvertially how about cut some aid money to look after ourselves.

i work in watford and there is certainly not any garage that sells diesel at that price
the pricing is the same as most places or often better by 2p a litre compared to where i actually live.
but don't worry guys the high prices is saving the planet and not paying off bankers mistakes honest

breaking the law en-masse just doesnt work. You do that and they will just withdraw red diesel meaning farmers will suffer, food prices will go up more etc etc etc.
The only solution is getting the government on side and that wont happen until the cost of fuel seriously hurts the country as a whole. Until fuel costs cause enough people to quit work, enough business' to go under and food/daily costs to rise to a point where fuel costs alone cause a recession, then the government dont need to do a thing as they can just sit back and count the revenue.

People will ALWAYS find money for a pint.
While I was working in a pub I accidently slipped that view up to the pubs local alcoholic, I thought he was going to kill me.
Currently working ~50mile from home. I can't change my car because insurance prices are rediculous.
I spend ~£15-£20 a day getting back and fore work. My pay is usually £195 a week after tax. I put £50 a week into a savings account, I pay £25 a week lodge leaving me £120. Most my wage goes on petrol. I've gone from having £50 a week spending money in a part time job while I was in college to a full time job, spending 2 hours a day driving and still only have £50 a week spending money. I'd be better off on the dole!

when everyone cant work is when it will stop but even then i would be suprised, they probably let a few million of us starve 1st the fucking idiots, this is why i want out just need convince the missus.
it was the price i was getting it delivered for about two months ago, was going to get a load and supply it as an alternative to the shell racing fuel everyone uses for rallying (which is getting on 4 quid a liter)
