anal i know but help needed ! and i will myself a newb before anyone else does.

i fitted k and n induction filter and when i was putting new bracket on i slipped un doing a bolt on top of gear box mount i think! and i knocked a plastic electrical plug that is held on side of rocker cover just under it. whilst doing this my rachet touched the wires on back of plug and sparked a little . like dodgy wiring maybe exposed wire theres a load of wires in back of plug . anyhow since then every now and then i hear a static electric noise in car whilst driving weird noise only every now and then . but does anyone know what might of happened ? and what this plug is im refurring to. any help or thoughts much appreciated.!!

 

Sounds like the camshaft sensor plug? Probably best off getting a picture and also checking the wiring and connector for an obvious damage as the static noise sounds like somethings shorting out on something..
