Hi there i,m after some advice on who can suitably recondition and upgrade mine . Its going on a new engine build also with recon box so it makes sense to have it done and at the same time make the best of the complete package . What mods are needed for safe higher boost on the T3,s , it already has the 360 bearing . I,m considering a gunship setup once she,s ready next year .

Have a word with vince a CR turbos and you want one of his stage 3 T3's.... Ashcossie has one on his car and it's doing 345bhp.

 

Im running a stage 2 mate with 360 bearings and a .63 housing, really pulls well

 

Cheers Matt that is good power from a T3 . I,ll get a price from Vinny at CR then , any others that are well known ? There is a place called Essex turbo,s in Witham but a friend had drama,s with them so dont fancy that .

Mat, not having a dig at you mate, BUT a T3 DOES NOT make 345bhp, that figure was on the infamous EP DYNO...

I had the Gunship on my T3 Mike and it was superb, the mid-range torque is fantastic, go for the live map Gunship if you can not just the chip, it's cracking, mine made 310bhp and 348lb/ft... that was @ 2bar peak though.. it was a stage 2 Turbo Technics T3...

 

Pete the lad has it in his sig mate... Take it up with him.. I'm only relaying the info given... Mine made 304bhp at 19psi on a standard T3 not as much torque as you but the bhp is there... A stage 3 T3 at 2.2bar on it's knees will produce 345 IMO.

Edit mine wasn't on EP dyno either....ROFL.

Bearing in mind mine was with a off the shelf chip at 19psi and not mapped.

This was on a standard T3 @ 19psi on yellows when steve miller own my car.

 

That was on 803s mate, Karl does do it with the Yellows too, but 803s are better imo..

 

I was there on the day it did and I would say that figure was not optimistic, it runs 2 BAR of boost so akin to yours with the Gunship, despite the bad reputation EP had, that day was a open day for them and so there were no gains to be had by fixing numbers on the dyno, if this were the case it would be the opposite surely and so they then stood a change in work being undertaken to fix a problem?

On another note my car did make the expected power on there rollers, just waiting for another RR day now so I have something to compare with.

I'm not getting into a bitch fest, a T3 will not do 350bhp, it just can't flow enough and if it got near it it would die VERY quickly...

Cossie4i,s car made SUPPOSEDLY 480BHP and similar torque that day, complete rubbish, he's proved it since..

 

Pete no bitch fest intended... But talking about only bhp... Why did my car make 304.5bhp on a off the shelf chip on yellow when yours made 310bhp live mapped on greens ?

 

Bear in mind aswell a stage 3 T3 runs a .48

 

I thought so , I wouldn't imagine standard injectors could hit that torque level . I,d love to try and get the best from what ford gave us engine wise and be realiable but willing to upgrade the injectors to help get the most from T3/48 .
Matt doesnt the NMS gunship boost hi and then reduce a lot hence Staffi,s 310 power but lots of torque . Your peak boost maybe the sameish as his reduced boost haha .

 

True, at the time we were all surprised, it's just kind of weird though as I recieved a realistic power figure for mine, I must have got on a calibrated good run

Mat, my boost peak was 27psi, tailing off to 18psi as the ICKLE T3 can't hold it, again without getting all daft here, different Rollers etc, i see from your graph though Mat i nearly had 100lb/ft more than yours..

 

Yes the gunship that pete had his ran 2bar peak then tails off....mine ran only a mere 19psi....thats were pete get all the mid range torque from...

wait till my stage 3 maram shafted T3 live mapped on blacks is on the rollers next year it will be intersting to see running 2.2bar.

 

I love the T3 Setup tbh Mat, WHY the fook i changed i'll never know, but that's me.... it's SOOOOOOO responsive...

 

All i can say mate is i bet it was a fooking hoot to drive...I bet it was blistering mate...

 

It was mate, just constently on the boost upto 6000-6400 Mat, you'll love yours when live mapped pal..

im running 319bhp and 357lbt on a standard t3 803s and an msd 320bhp chip
so i guess im at my limits on this turbo pulls well
