ok im having a bit of a debate on another site with some guy who has a rs turbo that claims he has a 2.3 zetec engine out of a galaxy, yes you read that right i said zetec not l4
i know fords list the engine as being zetec but its actually the l4 lump which is the same as the rs2000 as i right?
anyway heres a pic of the guys enhine bay that tsays its a 2.3 zetec from the galaxy

IIRC the Galaxy 2.3 is basically a long stroke 2.0 I4

That "may" well be a seriously bored out 2 litre zetec. But I'd be surprised.

the 2.3 i think is chain driven not cam belt,he looks like he has a cam belt

correct the l4 is chain driven and the engine in the pic is deffo a zetec which is belt driven

 

does the zetec not have the dipstick coming from the front left corner of the engine as you look at it???
