Default Not exactly barn find but......take a guess anyway

My girlfriends Dad came across this last week. Sadly the owner past away recently and it has been garaged for 25 years. Needs a lot of work but worth top money once done...

Any guesses?

My guess at value would be 8-12k.
The restoration costs are astronomical on something like a bristol.

Its actually a 403 which makes it even rarer apparently. Well done on the Bristol guesses though! No prize sadly.

if your going to restore it i would call these guys.

bob thredder
020 8688 0004

they dont have a website as they are far too old and old school for that. plus they dont need one lol. they are known worldwide as the top in the game at restoring classics.
they do all the chelsea cars and always have rare stuff flown in from all over the world to work on.

they are in south london

Thanks all for the information. It will be a cracking car once finished, but it's too much work for us.

The rebuild costs would way outway the value once done. It's one of those cars that you restore because you want to, not to make a profit.

There's one around my way that an old boy owns. The paint is ropey as fuck, but it's mechanically mint. The guy drives it hard to, I'm always seeing it being chucked around the lanes!

EDIT\; Just found this. If this is Ł6k worth 'your' one has to be nearer 10k surely?

Default Identify car

It's a Bristol. Not sure of the age but probably late 1940' or early 1950. They were a hand made car, made by a company who built aircraft. The bodies were alluminium,on a steel chasis.Production ended a few years ago.
