Default Does anyone on here know much about Clifford alarms??

Just bought a car that has one fitted and didn't come with the fitting certificate/booklet/over-ride code... but I did get two remote fobs.

Just wondering if there is some way to reset the valet/over-ride code?? Will there be a serial number on the alarm box itself which I can give to Clifford so they can supply a code/reset sequence?!

I've had a Clifford system before and didn't rate it, this is far newer than that, but I'd rather know how to turn it off just in case it starts to play silly buggers in the future.

Cheers,
Grant

there alarms are fucking quality, if u know how to use them and installed correctly there wont be a code written anywhere otherwise a thief can just read that and type it in

Have u got 2 keyfobs that look like carbon fibre??

The user can choose the override code so Clifford wont have a reference of it.

If installed correctly they are very good alarms IMHO, but there are some terrible installs out there which really let the quality of the core product down.

your only chance is that the user hasnt changed the original code so u could ring clifford.

BUT even if u plug it in to be reprogrammed u still need to enter the code.

If u let me know what sort of fob u got i'l tell u how to put valet mode on.

Bear in mind that you can also reprogram what buttons put it into valet mode, I did that on mine.

Yes using "Cliffnet Wizard" software, most don't have access to this, so you will have to go to a dealer and get them to connect to the alarm and find the code out, also if you have the alarm instuctions it is also written on the back cover IIRC.

Also you can enter Valet mode without the code via the remote?

It might not be the "Cliffnet Wizard" I was thinking about it, as you can buy this, I know there is some software, maybe only avaliable to "Authorised Dealers", I needed mine once to pair a new remote and I diden't think I knew it offhand, they plugged a laptop in and were able to do what they needed to.

I can't multi-quote on my phone.. but LOL @ Gary!! I know what you mean mate, my old bean tin came with a Clifford and it was no end of trouble!! Hopefully they've improved over the years?!

Here is a pic of the alarm fob for those that asked:

I'm just wanting to know how to disable the alarm completely if/when it starts to give me problems.

Cheers,
Grant

My cliford alarm is tempremental.Sometimes i come out to the car normaly at 5.30 in the moring to go to work and i cant get the alarm to disarm.Ive got to open the bonnet and take the battery lead off to reset the alarm. It pisses me off cause the neighbours wont like the sound of an alarm going off at 5.30 in the morning.

No they diden't, you shoulden't need anything configuring though if you merely just want the siren replaced?

You need a laptop with a RS232 serial port or you don't have a laptop period?

Yes you press the two left buttoms similtaneously with the ignition off (With the stars) this should enter "Valet mode" which will be indicated by the alarm LED staying on static, opposed to flashing, and the indicators flashing briefly.

Be AWARE this also disables the immobiliser, and valet mode is reset when the ignition is switched on.

Thats a Focus or Mondeo I should think you have?
