Afternoon all,
I need to find some info on the propshaft and axle assembly so does anyone know...


1) What type of propshaft is used ie. one long propshaft or a tubular-section propshaft? And what joints are used on the propshaft?


2) What type of rear axle is used ie. semi-floating, fully-floating or three-quarter floating?


It is for my assignment so any info would be useful. Thanks in advance!

 

its a prop with a uj in the middle, thats all i know, your best to look at some pictures, on ebay maybe, or google images? the rear axle consists of a rear beam which mounts the diff then wishbones/lower arms that operate independantly.

U don't happen to know anything regarding the S2 RST aswell do u? I need the same info for both but forgot to include that car in the question.

 

a rs turbo is front wheel drive, the rear sitll has independant suspension by having trailing arms each side with the spring between the arm and chassis, a haynes manuel might give a better discription then me lol,
