just interested to know what is the highest mileage anyone has got out of a yb before needing a rebuild mine has 106,000 and still sounds sweet

 

there is one that looked after by Turbosystems that has done over 300k irc.

 

I had a saff with 176,000 miles and it had never been to bits , no headgasket , nothing and run like a dream

I ended up breaking it as i couldnt sell it due to the miles , Funny thing was it was 1 owner from new with FSH and was one of the best saffs i have ever seen

 

i thought cossie engines were gauged by days not miles lol

 

My mate had one at 180k it was stage 3 and he ragged it every where and it's still goin!

 

I once had a one owner 110k miles standard example was 17 yrs old had never been apart, original head gasket etc ran fine just needed new lifters, did than then did a stage 3 upgrade and it ran like a dream still on original head gasket now !

 

Mine has done 120K +, not on the same engine however, the engine was built from plasticine I think it was terrible and knackered when I brought it, at that point it had a Pinto block lol, so it's on at least it's third engine with it's current properly built one which is the only one in my time.

A lesser model we have has done slightly more than the above, had it not been for a cambelt failure, that would still be on it's original engine now I should think!

Looked after, there no reason why they shoulden't do space ship miles!
