Reshelled - never a genuine S1 whatever it says and it wasn't made by Ford.

 

looks iffy if u ask me as if i'm correct if it's a rs turbo estate where's the rs turbo dash ??

 

i know the boy whos selling this..he is adamant it is a genuine s1, although it does say so on the book..def not though i reckon

 

The Insurance database shows it as an RS Turbo so the logbook probably matches, but if it was originally an RS Turbo that got reshelled into a new estate shell he would get away with that.

The logbook should show a date of 1st registration and a date of 1st registration in the UK, and have a qualification on the front page that says it has been rebuilt from parts, some or all of which are not new.

 

Well the ad states it was reshelled as an Rs so maybe it was a genuine Reshell into an estate shell but it' never came out the factory like that, interesting idea though

 

my old rs turbo said red rs 1600 onthe log book as it was a import, so saying rs turbo means nothing as the details can be changed? cant they?

 

if a genuine rs has been reshelled into this then surely to have the rs on the log book its using the rs id which is illegal, so a ringer??

 

No, not a ringer and defo not made by ford.

You can change details on log book at request to the DVLA, I have done it many times.

I shall again be attempting to do it with my van and having RS2000 Van on the log book.

 

am i the only one who read the add, its says in it that it was reshelled so paper work was updated

 

To be honest regardless of it's authenticity it looks fucking horrendous IMO
