I spent 1200 quid on my turbo and got it to around 200bhp, its going to cost me about 3k to get 160bhp out of my na crossflow

3k na crossflow , that's why some company's are starting to push the 1.6 se sigma engine as you can get more power for less

Not trying to start an argument here! was just saying. A steel crossflow with a nice head, carbs, is going to cost you around 3k for around 160bhp. yet a 1.6 turbo with 1200 quid in it, cooler, turbo and some other bits will comfortably give you 200.

turbo's are cheap. lol. there's a sweeping statement

So shit they produce more power than a crossflow for less, are very light, and so are used a lot in kit cars, even caterham use them. Crossflow's must be uber-wank by your reckoning then!

Whilst the program is usually full of crap...

People who know nothing would just see a single figure. What if it gives better cold starting, better running, more power and torque everywhere, and better fuel economy ?

And if it was replacing faulty parts that were not available ?

A bit like some people fitting air filters and stainless exhausts to totally standard cars for that same 10bhp or so for even higher cost.
