whats the best spray paint to use for painting the shells?
in the middle of painting my mk3 escort and the paint is coming out like orange peel.......
last thing i want to do is start again but i feel i might have to if it dont turn out well!
im using car plan colour match paint and i used halfords own grey primer!
shell was notromorsed bk to metal and then rubbed down with a wire polishing brush on my dremmel.

I use nitromors (green can), rub down, primer, paint then laquer.

Depending on the colour, I use hycote, holts, halfords & official Ford spray paint. Usually hycote grey primer and laquer.

Not sure why your paint is doing that, ive never had problems myself, well, only if i drop a freshly painted car.

 

the nozzle wasnt the best on the tin but changed it for another one and is much better now! given it a few light coats now and building up do a decent finish now.couple more coats and il laquer it with your sugested laquer! thanks a lot mate

seems to be quiet about here now,has everyone died off the craze that once was ........lol ???

 

I usually give it plenty of time before handleing the model aswell, dont want any finger prints on it (done that once before).
