Unhappy Runs and stops????

Morning all

Its a 2wd turns over starts runs for approx 3 seconds then stops.
As soon as you touch the throttle it dies so it wont rev up either.
try to re-start it and it does.

Things i have checked so far;

Cap,rotor arm,leads,coil,ignition pad,injectors,spark plugs,TPS,lugs on crankshaft sensor and sensor gap and all the wiring back to the ecu to make sure there isn't a broken wire.

Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance

MAP sensor as said (Overfuelling) check the hose, and this first, the "flash code" system will also indicate a fault with the sensor.

If good, also do the "Wiggle" test on the CPS connector as they are known for having bad connections but would not have your symptoms.

Does the fuel pump remain running after the car starts? Running for a few seconds always makes me think it's running on the fuel in the lines it had when the pump primed

As its a race car the pump is controled via it's own switch not the ecu so yes it does continue to run

Have you changed anything since it last ran?

A mate changed a phase sensor and got the wires back round the wrong way, which gave similar symptoms to this

In that case, as you mention the smell of fuel, check your ECT sensor, the blue on at the back of the head on the inlet side
