Default any vaux techs

been asked to get a 2007 vectra cdti running, problem with it is, that it had a under bonnet fire, they have fitted a 2005 engine and whole 2005 loom, well fitted under bonnet and pushed rest through bulk head, and asked me to finish the inside, problem is counting the wires of the loom inside i counted 41 and the new loom next to it i made 37 i was going to cut and join the loom as a lot of the plugs are different for fuse box ect, any ideas
cheers

No expert on this but for that kind of job i wouldn't want to fuck about trying to adapt the wrong loom as that could take days!

As creator said, get the right loom.

Looms are speced to car specs nowadays unfortinaly, they dont just chuck the top spec loom and hide wiring thats not needed anymore if that makes sense.you will also need the original engine ecu also or if you havnt got that the ecu will need reprograming to the car.
