2001 Fiesta 1.25 ghia....Water Leaks
Hiya, must say I thought I'd found a bargain, 1 owner car with only 25 K & full service history by ford dealer, nick name....Tea Bag, cause it leaks like one !!!
First noticed water penetration at the bottom of door seal, water gathers on top ridge of front door seals, which eventually fill up & spill onto lower plastic door strip, dripping on carpet...Any ideas ?
Now Ive noticed boot carpet is soaked, water appears to be coming in behind the bumper on rear panel & collecting in spare wheel release area, which eventually overflows & soaks carpet....Any ideas ?
your comments & advise will be welcomed !!!! many thanks

they were shocking for water leaks , i used to fix them.
strip out the seats and carpets/sound deadening, boot carpet etc the n get a mate to soak it outside all over while you sit inside and watch where all the water flows in from....usually involves a dash removal as alot of the leaks were from bulkhead. enjoy!!

probably rotten becus its been sat out to face the elements.
my grandad owned a 97 reg escort from new a mk6 and by 2006 it had done 34,000 miles, the arches where shot, the door bottoms and bootlid were all rusting where water had sat and gunked up the drain holes, year after that it had to have the spare wheel tray welded, had a fist sized hole, that had soggy carpets all the time, smelt like a swamp inside.. lol enjoy...
