Default carburettor people? help needed please?

bought an escort cabriolet cvh on twin 40 dollortos and suspect it needs setting up, thing being ive never had any experience with carbs only more modern stuff. was after advice etc or a local knoledgable person so i could learn for future occassions? thanks in advance peeps

dont know myself mate but saw mark evans doing it on a race car is born he was using a little air flow meter and sticking in the top of the carbs to balance them all then adjusted the fuel, i know its not much help but didnt look overly complicated.

yeh sorry mate of course dont doubt there is alot of finnes in doing it but sadly as all modern cars use fuel injection now there probably isnt that many garages can do it.

your need a vac gauge you can get them for about a Ł10 from gunson then you can set the butterfly's with that next would be doing runs and checking plugs and maybe changing jets to suit ,by going on plug colour and feel of the engine, an do a google on your carb to see how each cercuit works.
