Default bluefin???

iv just been looking at these bluefin superchips
has anyone got/used one of these? im very sceptical about things like this as iv been had before
it says it will uprate the perfomance of my st170 and find any problems but im not sure. iv been looking at getting my st chipped and re-mapped when i stumbled upon these.
are they a scam or recommended?

I had one with my ST170, there was a difference, it seemed to pick up quicker but the annoying stutter at 2000rpm was still there (a ST170 Trait) i eventually went for Dreamscience and it got rid of the stutter and felt stronger, unfortunately you can only get a one shot remap from dreamscience now the handsets are not avaliable unless you find one second hand.
The increased rev limit you get with a remap is good though, with my mods it did help me hit 60 in the 6's
Bluefin will realistically gain you 5-6bhp on the ST170 i ran mine on race 4 setting super unleaded and it did sub 20mpg allot of the time

Any map that is written live on a rolling road will be a milion times better than a generic map off a bluefin or dreamscience handset, go for it but dont expect the earth, but the engine should feel livlier and rev higher.

i think a re-map is probs my best bet, im going to stick a manifold and stainless steel exhaust system on it but be sides that i have to start looking at big bucks to gain any real power. i also think i need a new fuel pump as it keeps spluttering thanks anyway. im getting the re-map for my x.mas pressy lol. il post pics

Dont waste your money on a new exhaust manifold, the standard one is a 4-2-1 and is very efficient and a very good design, you will see no gains as you will basically be fitting the same or one of lesser quality.
