The 4 inch will sound a lot more of a deeper gurgle(spelling)
and the 3 inch sounds kind of more high pitched also has a slight whistle to it.

ive got a 4inch on mine but i wish had of bought the 3inch coz i think it sounds better,IMO.

How is the overall soundlevel of those 2 with a tuned engine on the motorway at constant speed?
My current system is a Magnex stainless with 4" backbox which now produces a whopping 99 decibel, which is not good according to our friendly motorway police (apart from that it's driving me nuts aswell )

I like the somewhat darker roar in a exhaust but i need to attract less attention from the men with the blueberryjuice on the roof

And how much noise does it make? Is it acceptable whilst driving 70-90 mph on the motorway? Eversince i got myself a kent34, stage3 turbo and gasflowed head the incar noiselevel has become too high to bear even for me, let alone the sound it makes on the outside

(sorry for hogging your topic jonny664 )

mines fine, turbo cars are naturally quieter than n/a cars, i also drive an xr3i with my old 3 inch turbo backbox on it, and thats what i call loud, it vibrates the whole car at 50mph then your ears pop!
