Default Small turbo to l8 conversion

Hi people. Recently purchased a small turbo escos rolling shell, which I am changing over to l8 management. I am taking the management from my saph. It has l8 ecu, with an msd chip and coilpack chip, and also have a braided ryan loom.

I need a little guidance with the switchover though. The engine loom and car loom are as one in the escort which is fair enough, I obviously have to leave the majority of this loom in place as it feeds various parts at the front of the car. Now do I leave the eedis unit connected or can I unplug that??

I also wasn't sure as the standard immobiliser will connected to the small turbo ecu?? If this right?? If so does that mean I have to leave the small turbo ecu connected?? Any tips or general ideas on what the best route to take would be much appreciated.

if its a shell build i wouldnt be leaving the old wiring loom for the old ecu in there, get the loom open and get rid of it, it will always look untidy. if you leave the other ecu in place, where will you mount the new one?

i would rip it all out and fit a decent alarm while your there.

the only two feeds you will need from ther old loom are the oil pressure gauge and light iirc, and you can make a simple sub loom up to feed these directly to the gauges.
