you won't beat camskill for price and service, i get tyres at trade price through my work and i still ended up buying my last set from camskill as they were cheaper.

If you're after Michelin tyres join Costco.

What tyres would you recommend? I was going to get some Proxes but they've gone up to £60 a tyre, was hoping for more around £40-50.

Have you been to APEX? If you tell them that you want something good/midrange branded they will sort it for you. There's not much they can't get.
They ordered in my all terrains in for me and with fitting they were a couple of quid each cheaper than i could get them on the net.

They will probably do you a good price on something like a Falken ZE912 or a Kumho Ecsta. I've run both and they should be able to harness the power you're putting down in the escy FFS don't touch MAXXIS tyres though! I've got some on the Focus that got put on to MOT it and they are shit, properly shit. I'm doing all i can to destroy them! I was going to suggest Yoko A539 but they're dearer than the toyo's.

Unless you're fitting and balancing them yourself or have a mate to do it IIRC APEX charge £12 a tyre for fitting and balancing on tyres you don't buy from them.
