Default List of issues Mk1 focus

Evening all, my brother has left me with his ford focus to sort.

2001 1.8l petrol.

Issues are:

Cuts out intermitantly, basically dies when slowing down, dash lights come on and needs to be restarted. Then starts, drives as normal. Only happens now and then.

Could this be the Speed sensor Valve? seems to be a common suggestion.
The car is driven softly and short journeys if this makes any difference.

Next issues:

Engine fans cutting in and out regularly from cold onwards, and heater blower in the car only works on blower 4 nothing else.

Could this be the resistor?

Finally, and maybe coinsidence, but the car cut out the moment I turned off the A/C, didnt think to try it off and on again to see if it did it again, but thought I would mention it.

Did some searches but multiple answers and advice so thought i would list the exact issues and see if it is one thing for each issue, or if it could be multiple possible causes.

Any help is mucho appreciated

It's called the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor).
If the speedo drops to zero at the same time while still moving that's almost certainly it.
Common problem, easily fixed.

Fix 1 thing at a time.

You say the fans are coming on, they are signalled to do so by the CHT (AKA) CTS sensor, so it could be this causing the problem as well as the stalling problem, assuming, of course, it isn't actually overheating.

Other causes could be air leak, or dicky ISCV or VSS.

Re the fan problem, resistor pack, very common problem, reason it works on position 4 is because it has a direct live for it.

A/C sounds like a idle regulation problem, try applying throttle and then turn on and see if it still stalls. If not then the ECU is either not recieveing the correct input, or not giving the correct output for air compensation to stop to raise the idle speed to stop this from happening.
