Default Pinto or Zetec in my sapphire?

Hey, I have learned now its going to be to expensive to build a cosworth from my pinto engine, can anyone advise me on the topic of making a conversion from my 2.0 pinto to a 2.0 zetec in my sapphire?

you can buy a second hand cossie engine for around 1500 if you look hard enough.

pinto's are good - im selling the bottom end of a pinto for 50 quid this weekend to a mate as need the space. You could even try and put the cossie 16v head with turbo onto a pinto and run low boost.

or zetec which are fairly cheap to get out of mondeos, etc

in all honesty, i'd go pinto in a sierra if you just want cheapness and ease of fitting.

a decent pinto will give about 150bhp dependant on mods and should be fairly reliable and relatively cheap to get to that power level.

I sold a pinto head with kent cam for Ł130 on ebay. Am in the process of sellling the complete bottom end for 50 quid to a mate.
