safe power for 4x4 block and crank
whats usually the safe limit for a standard 200 block and crank?
in both RPM and bhp terms
assuming that the crank has also been balanced and tuffrided aswell
cheers

RS500 whit stronger block, was raced in about 550-650bhp, and that i consider over the safe limit, cause in racing, longevity isnt main consern. that means 700bhp is way over safe limit for 200 block.
i would say about 400 is reliable, but over it reliability will decrease. in RPM i would say about 7000 is the limit. but this is one thing that no one can say for sure how much is the limit.

well this is more for a track car anyway
so a rebuild once a yr isnt unreasonable i guess
im just trying to gauge the strengh of the standard crank/block and rods
at what sort of power do people start changing these for beefyer items and what too
