can any1 advise , want to add an additional fuel filter at the base of the fuel tank . runs under the car from the tank to the pump , is a approx 20mm dia rubber pipe , about 12"long
CAN YOU BUY A FILTER ANYWHERE FOR THIS

was getting some rust collecting in the front filter and had blocked an injector?

if you can free off the rusty fitting in the bottom of the tank and get it out, then clean the tank, you'll see the original gauze filter on the pipe stub , if there's any of it left, then get a new plastic gauze filter for a 2.0i sierra and fit it on the stub inside the tank.... what with that and the proper fuel filter that goes after the efi pump should takecare of all your filtering needs
