Thats right, RS200's

There is static display of anything up to a dozen RS200's on Saturday 13th August at Chelmsford Museum, Moulsham Street, Chelmsford. Also there will be the Hart Turbo powered Beatrice Lola F1 car. Two of the original works cars will be on display, first time together in many years.

The day is part of the museum exhibition of Boreham Airfield, Wings, Wheels and Dwellings. Many of the original Boreham mechanics are coming along, so if you fancy soaking up just a little bit of the Boreham atmosphere, come on over. Entry is free!

If anyone has ans Escos they would like to put on display for the day, drop me a PM!

Saw one last week at a garage near Knutsford...Broken Cross I think. It was absolutely immaculate and was running P700 tyres which looked original. Next door to it was a road spec Lancia Delta S4! Made my day!!

We now have a proper works Escort Cosworth, the last model that Boreham did. Remember the Escos Monte?

I think we have the guy who built that original engine coming along as well!

 

Spoke to the guys from Fast Ford, they are looking forward to some good cars and interesting guys being there, looking to get a good story for the mag.

Need a bit of help, had a let down on a couple of cars for this show, still got RS200's, but am now missing a Cossie 3door, preferably a rally car. Anyone fancy putting their pride and joy on display in Chelmsford for a few hours?

Same applies to a MK11 Escort, a Grp 4 car would be good.

Hi All,

The show yesterday proved to be a huge success, seeing 7 RS200's, 2 Escort Cosworths (Aaron, I thought your car was stunning, can I get a longer look sometime please!) 2 Saph Coswoths and a sweet S1 Escort, the gentleman came for a look, we parked his car on display!

The Fast Ford guy must have taken a thousand photo's, he filled a notebook with interview notes, so look out for something good in the mag.

It may just happen again next year.......

Cheers for sorting out saturday simon, I've never seen 7 rs200's in one place before. Goodwood only had 2. It was an amazing day.
You should definalty organise this event for next year, I can see this being a BIG day in the Ford scene.
Any time you want to see or need a Works escort simon call me, i'll bring it out, i don't mind getting it dirty : )

How many red rs500s did they make.

 

Should that have been RS200s,if so they were all in white,but they did have 2 resprayed red,2 black and 2 blue before they were sold

 

looks sweet all those RS200. Also a car where I have good memories off, car with 86200 on the plate its from Luxembourg. But the driver is female called Jenny, see now lives in Luxembourg but is original from Netherlands. I had the change to drove one time with that car on passenger seat. Amazing machine very fast and that noise puts a smile on my face at the memories of it

 

As I promised to everyone I chatted to at the show, the proof copy of the book that was at the show has finally turned into a box of proper hardback copies ready to go.
