Default Immaculate S1 RS Turbo Custom

S1 RS Turbo Custom - 1985 on a C plate

Unfortunately now having to sell due to baby on the way so im afraid the toy has got to go. It will be a shame to let this go as it took me a while to find one in this condition but needs must.

MOT - 22nd Apr 2012 (passed 1st time with no advisories)
Tax - End of Sept 2011

The car had a full body restoration in 2005 at SEVS Wolverhampton with receipts and photos to prove. Many panels replaced and the car is rust free throughout.

The previous owner wasn’t happy with the finish of the paint so had the outside professionally repainted again (windows out and all trim removed) in May 2010, again with receipt and photos to prove and the finish is now excellent.

Car has the original engine which was rebuilt by PJ Motorsport in 2002 (with receipt) and has done 12K since and runs faultlessly. Starts first time every time and doesn’t burn or drip any oil. Just had a full service and Cambelt/tensioner will be replaced this week.

The car has only done around 3K miles in the last 4 years and has been sorned over the winter and always garaged during this time.

S1 alloys are in excellent condition have been refurbished at some point and have the correct 85 stamp on all 5 wheels

I bought the car a year ago off the 'seriesoneturbo' forum and have since spent a small fortune replacing various clips and parts. Here is a rundown of what ive replaced in the last year.

Petrol/Brake pipe clips underneath the car
Gearshift mechanism rebuilt with new gates, roller bearings and return spring
Original SRT 32P Stereo Fitted
Diesel Starter motor
Starter Motor to Battery wiring (Genuine Ford)
Thermostat
Fan switch
Replaced breather pipes and filter
Front suspension top mounts (Genuine Ford)
Front strut bearings (Genuine Ford)
Powerflex polybushes for all front and rear suspension
Powerflex polybushed Steering rack
Front wheel bearings
Track Control Arms (Genuine Ford)
Tie rod ends
Electronic Dipstick
Ignition Relay (Genuine Ford)
Oil & Filter
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Spark Plugs
Coolant replaced
Rocker Cover and Charge pipe repainted in original Ford Stratos Silver.

Probably more but that’s all I can remember at the moment.

It’s had the following upgrades from standard:

* -25mm springs and Koni Top Adjustable shocks.
* Cosworth 4x4 Front callipers and Cosworth 2wd grooved discs.
* Tuned to 160 BHP and 180 lb ft torque with rolling road printout from last year when it was last set up at Motoscope in Northallerton.
* Half leather interior in excellent condition

The car comes with old Mot’s and a folder full of receipts.

It is in outstanding condition throughout and has only let me down once (Starter motor wiring which has since been replaced). The only fault it has is a slight crunch when changing from 3rd to 4th gear which is the synchromesh but its never been a big enough issue for me to fix.

Taken last year on RS7's

Willing to let it go for £5500 as it is or £6000 with the gearbox repaired.

Car is located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire Junction 36 on the M1.

Please PM or call Matt to arrange a viewing - you will not be disappointed
- 07795 462017

Car has done 132K, engine fully rebuilt at 120K and Full Body restoration at 128K

Cheers for the comments guys. I really dont want to sell it but not really got an option. Currently got this in the garage as a weekend toy and running a second car for work. Cant afford to insure/run 2 and need to free up some cash now the baby is on the way so thats why im selling up.

I dont want to be greedy and ask for more, thought i would put it up at a good price and hopefully it wont hang around for too long.

Ive seen some needing a lot of work go for more than this.

Seriously fella, £5500 is about £1500 behind where that car should be.

Hi, you unlock the car through the remote central locking from the alarm fob. The boot lock is still there should the car battery ever go flat.

Ive got a receipt dated July 2005 from SEVS replacing:

Fuse box panel and battery tray
Inner wings
Front wings
Complete front panel
Bonnet
Inner and outer Sills
Rear wheel arches
Floor panels

The owner wanted to remove all rust and replace with full panels rather then patching it up. That totalled £1500 for labour only and ive got a folder full of photos detailing the work.

The car has had 15 owners

Thanks
