I ended up standing and listening to it tick over for 5 minutes. Soooo quiet now. Well chuffed with it seeing as it was such a simple job.

No difference yet as i'm running in new pistons as well, so driving like a sunday driver.

Yeah i'm glad I kept it once I got my shit together and started sorting it. Trying to convince my old man to move his stag out of his garage so I can get it in the and get it ready for paint.
Got new bonnet vents, sunroof, jacking point covers, and front arches. So just a day or two of stripping and welding a few rough bits up it should be ready.

what's the best place in england to buy the standard camshaft for the rst ? In belgium it costs more that double what you guys pay for. I even paid like 300 euros for the standard xr3i cam directly from ford and WITH discount that is..
Thanks

sorry for spamming, but would anyone know where you could get genuine cams and followers in ireland at a good price, ford parts? or is there a specialist? and is the quality much better over aftermarket stuff?
