You looking for the factory ones or aftermarket? Aftermarket will be a lot easier to install as the factory fit ones have a seperate DVD player in the glovebox and probably a lot more wiring to go with it.

Friend of mine has one of these, and its an excellent bit of kit

I wouldn't bother with the standard Ford unit to be honest mate. I have the touch screen satnav, CD, Bluetooth unit (with out dvd) in mine and its a pile of shite mate! The sat nav is really crap. The only good thing is the touch screen buttons and bluetooth.
It was fitted when i bought it but it was a £1000 optional extra at point of sale.

Far better off with an after market unit.

To be honest I would go to a local car audio specialist mate. As they would have all the leads etc you would need to get it all fitted and hooked up correctly. Or if fitting it your self go see them for the correct ISO connectors with your old unit out and new one not fitted if you have the steering column controls.
Going to some where like Halfrauds they wont have a clue as to what cables etc to use. They have caused me to blow a brand new head unit before by giving me an ISO socket where the earth and live were the opposite way around

You reckon? I've got the same unit in mine and I reckon it's fantastic. Easily as good as a tomtom IMO!

Honestly mate! I would class it at a middle of road sat nav at best, no where near as good at route selection etc as Tom Tom or Garmins etc.

Have you had yours updated? I need to get hold of an update DVD for it and see if that improves things.

No I think it's still on a 2006 disc. No idea if the unit's software has been updated or not though. The only thing that I find a bit annoying is you need to put a space in in the middle of the postcode, keep forgetting!

I have to do that on my Garmin so I'm used to that.
Although I do like how all the heater controls are on the3 surround as opposed to turn knobs.
Its just the sat nav that lets it down. Mine is on a 06 disc as well. I think it is something you need to go to the dealers for to get the disc unless some one knew where to find it free on the internet *Hint hint to any one that may know*
