Default ST170 oil pressure

hi guys,
I have had my ST170 about 3 weeks now and I love it,
But today on the motorway i noticed that the oil pressure gauge was sitting rather high, just bellow the very top line? car was fully warmed up, and i was cruising at 65 to 70 mph, on tick over or below 3000 RPM it is fine, but above 3000 ish RPM it shoots to near enough the top, even when on part throttle.
I have never noticed the gauge go this high before, even at high revs or under hard acceleration.
Is this normal and i am worrying about nothing and simply haven't noticed this before, or do I have a some sort of problem?

sorry for the essay and thank you all in advance for the help.

Dean
