Default S2 engine rebuild check list

what do i need to do an standard rebuild,
i will have it put in somewhere to have the work done just want to
cut the cost down and get parts and bits before hand ie gaskets, water & oil pumps, piston rings ect..
your help would be appreciated

if u supply the parts for the rebuild the company/person actually building it for you might not gaurrentee the engine as they havent supplied the parts and cant garuntee that those parts arent faulty, for peace of mind id get the builder to supply the parts that way if the engine fails due to parts the engine builder cant say its down to the parts u supplied and should rebuild it for free as he supplied faulty parts

sm has a valid point, if you have a good relationship with the builder than can usually get the parts cheaper than you can anyways, and also may know where to get cheaper parts, such as gaskets so you dont have to pay ford prices, and also you can upgrade some parts for future while your doing it so it may be worth investing in 'uprated' parts such as pistons, and a cam kit
