Default swirl pot

when you fit a swirl pot is it a good idea to fit another water return hose from the thermo housing instead of blanking it off,i now you need the alloy water tank modifiyng a bit to take the other hose

You don't really need a water swirl pot on an RST. The thermostat housing works very well as standard.

As above. The thermostat housing already has a swirl pot in it. The return for the additional swirl pot you are planning to fit is necessary for it to work. Otherwise you might as well have a straight forward basic top hose and no swirl pot.
