Default Moondust Silver Fiesta MK3 2.3 Duratec-HE Turbo. PF Cover car May 2011

Reserve on Ebay is £3750 - ebay listing here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Fiesta-MK...item2c5d6338df

As per title. I nearly sold it a while back when it was an unfinished project due to time and storage issues but managed to see it through to the end and have used the car daily since Feb this year. It is fully road-legal. Taxed until end Aug 2011 and MOT'd until end Jan 2012.
It was the cover-car in the May 2011 edition of Performance Ford, there's a 7-page feature inside and full spec if you want to see it.

There's a comprehensive spec list on ebay and bidding starts @ £500

Thanks for reading, Jim. (jimmyesh@fsmail.net)

I realise that cars are never worth what you'd want them to be - hence why I'm just seing what it makes on ebay.

I hope you and any other readers can see my point.

Kind regards, Jim.

Cracking foosty there, couldn't see myself spending cash on a MK3 Fiesta often, but I'd buy that if I was in the market for a modified 'RS Turbo' though.

Cheers,
Grant

Oh dear, Jim, I didn't think I'd see this. Followed the build all the way through and know how gutted you were when those hats dented it. Whoever buys it will get one hell of a bargain.

Sure is mate! I bought it from Woking in 2008 - it's been with me in Colchester since.

Winning bidder messaged me about 12hrs after the auction to let me know he had had a row with his Mrs and therefore was not going to complete the transaction. - Typical ebay!

I am more relieved than anything though as it only reached £3.3k I realise MK3 Fiestas have a far smaller pool of potential buyers than stuff like Cossies, Focus RS's etc but I was expecting it to get to over £4k at the very least, especially given the spec/condition of the car.

I'd take offers around £5k, other than that it appears that the car is obviosly worth more to me than anyone else!

True mate, but I just couldn't do that - the amount of effort I put into building this car is massive, I couldn't handle just pulling it all to bits again!

Might re-list it with a proper reserve on a longer listing, might just stay away from the dreaded ebay altogether and put it on Pistonheads or something...

I'd say that's a blessing in disguise, Jim. £3.3k is bloody ridiculous! Wish I wasn't going away for CIC. I'd put it on the credit card, wrap it up in the barn and worry about it later on. Lol

Car is re-listed on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Fiesta-MK...item2c5d6338df

I'd be happy if the car made £5k - I've spent more like £10-£15k building it over the last 3 years so that's only fair in my eyes. The shell is in very good condition, the car could be broke for far more than that but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

The reserve is a fair bit less than the £5k that I'd like from the car but a safe level to stop it going for buttons.

I'm after a cheap-ish runaround (1.25 Fiesta 2001>onwards or 1.6 Focus similar year) as I still need a spare car so if anyone has something they want to px + cash, get in touch.

Thanks for looking, Jim.

There's 5 days of the auction left now, the reserve is almost reached.

This is one hell of a car for the money, whatever it reaches it goes for.

Thanks again, Jim.
