Vauxhall Omega 3.2 V6 Estate 'Special'
As used by Thames Valley Police as an Armed Response Vehicle, also as seen on Sky One's 'Road Wars'
A lovely, reliable and spacious car that has recently had the following work done:
Cam belt & Tensioner (replaced with Genuine Vauxhall items)
Aux Belt (replaced with Genuine Vauxhall items)
Water Pump (replaced with Genuine Vauxhall items)
Full Service inc:
Oil
Oil Filter
Fuel filter
Air Filter
Pollen Filter
Iridium Plugs
Coolant
Coil Packs (replaced with Genuine Vauxhall items)
Gearbox oil changed (replaced with Genuine Vauxhall item)
LSD oil (replaced with Genuine Vauxhall item)
Also has had the following done:
Front Wishbone rear bushes - Uprated and changed for Powerflex Polyurethane bushes
Front anti-roll bar bushes - Uprated and changed for Powerflex Polyurethane bushes
Rear wishbone doughnut bushes
Cam cover oil seals (replaced with Genuine Vauxhall items)
New 'blue tint top' windscreen - required for MOT
Silver handbrake & gear stick surrounds - As found in the MV6
New upgraded HiD headlight bulbs fitted into the factory spec Xenon headlights
LED Sidelights and rear number plate lights
All 4 speakers have been upgraded to new FLI door speakers, fitted into the original speaker mountings
Recent new rear tyres
Front tyres are still very legal with LOADS of tread left.
New rear Mintex pads and Discs
She also comes fitted with the ultra RARE proper 'Recaro' seats as found in the European models of the Omega Estate or 'Caravan' I fitted these after completely overhauling the interior to rid it of the poverty spec (GLS) interior that the Police vehicles come fitted with and also banishing any panels that had screw holes remaining from Police monitors and telecommunication equipment.
The car has the large plastic panels in the roof that were fitted from the factory to allow the Police to install their aerials, light bars and sirens, these are unobtrusive and don't really stand out in the interior.
She also has the Vauxhall/Police spec LSD rear Differential (both wheels lock to turn in the direction of travel)
AND she has a manual gearbox! Yes that right a manual 5-speed, none of that Auto rubbish!
Tow bar and Electrics
Irmscher front grill
6 months Tax
12 Months MOT
Full Thames Valley Police service history, plus recent history from myself and previous owner
Approx 163k on the clock.
The car is in a very good order considering her previous tasks hauling the 3 Police officers around and their equipment - Including the gun safe that had to be bolted into the boot! None to very little rust, a couple of car park dents - but that's nothing unusual for any car these days.
Overall, a lovely car.
