Default 2wd cossie front brakes (uprated)

As above im just testing the water say to speak, i've managed to get the cossie to nipp along fairly now so im gonna be in need of some uprated front brakes to help stop it, on a bit of a budget so pm me what you have with a price, cheers.

i think if your on a budget braided hoses, and good pads would be your best option, the AP's etc get very pricey!

Ive already done that route mate and it stops but not good enough really now, i know ap's are dear but lets just see whats about.

As on a budget you can get some brackets made/make yourself and use FRS mk1 discs(325mm) with your current 4 pots, very BIG difference in stopping power for around £150 all in.
I know some one soon who will be selling a big brake kit, but that's not budget money, it's 8 pots water cooled and 380mm discs!!

Exactly how much of a difference will the bigger discs make ? wont it look strange cosmetically with big discs and tiny calipers ?

introduce the frs brembos as well if you look on ebay fiat 20v turbo ones are the same and can ber picked up real cheap and they look nice as well as good stopping power

I went for evo brembos i got a set of evo 8 brembos for £150 off ebay use with a focus rs disk and a custom bracket.

Yeah there alot bigger than the focus/fiat brembos, i have been offered a set but its quite hard to get hold of the man.

If you look at fudgys build thread (blue sierra 3door zetec turbo) there are pics of the brackets he had made up basiclly a straight 8mm bar with 4 holes in it. you have to grind a small part of the calpiers off but nothing too scary!
