Default efi head on mfi block

brought an efi head thinking it would be a straight fit onto my escort rs (mfi) I'm having omex fitted to it which will make it efi but that still won't let me use the efi head will it?

any help. Joe..

I've got a 1990 EFi head on my 1985 MFi block and had no problems at all.

Why do you think it wouldn't fit?

You can't put EFi inlet manifolds on MFi heads because they don't have the cutouts for the injectors. Was that what you were thinking of?

No need to change to an EFi head if your OMEX inlet is a modded MFi one.

Apparently the stud/bolt holes are completely different though, only reason i can think of the mfi omex inlet fitting is because its got the right holes in it? Not sure what to think really, supose the best thing would be to let the head turn up and try to fit the omex inlet on it..

Surely if your running electronic fuel injection, you need an efi block for the crank sensor!??

Nope, the bolt hole/stud positions are exactly the same.
I run and MFI inlet manifold, and MFI head with EFI injectors. If it was good enough for Christian and Tony on there 300+BHP CVH's it's good enough for us.

Im EFI head, Drilled CPS block, and EFI inlet manifold.

Im not sure what your going on about an omex mfi inlet for?

Get an EFI inlet manifold, and use the efi head you already have end your away.

What you can't do is fit your modified MFi inlet to an EFi head. The port shapes are totally different.

yes it is possible i had a problem with my original head had an efi one built up used an adaptor plate so i could still run mfi manifolds as i was on mfi at the time for ease of converting to efi at a future date
