Default Cosworth oil change question...

The oil was last changed on my cosworth just over a year ago and has only covered 500 miles since, would you say the oil is still fine or because its been in there a year it would need changing ? thanks

Oil degrades due to time as well as mileage, as james says needs changing out for new.
