will more then likely be breaking my saph very soon but at the end i be left with a shell was wondering what the going rate is for a tidy bare moonstone shell but the thing is its a previous cat d.The only bit of surface rust is patch on roof next to sunroof has had previous welding to n/s/r chassis leg but both rear arches are mint.When time comes with prob advertise shell on here but will more then likely put it on ebay.Shell will come with i.d.

 

well my shell was flint grey and mint no rust no damage solid

esentric top mounts
safty devices full cadge
rear beam all polly bushed
front all polly bushed
doors glass
4x4 bonnet
bootlid with spoiler etc


couldnt give it away

so just pulled all the good bits off it and scrapped it

still got loads of bits laying around in the garage

 

how comes you gonna break it gary?

i may well end up cutting the shell up then coz will be selling everything apart from the wheels and plate.

 

if you dont mind me asking what sort of spec was ur saph and what sort of return did you get from it?

 

it was prety big spec t4 ported head etc but bottom end was fooked so i lost alot of money form there as i couldnt sell it, think i made about 6.5k ish still maybe a bit less

 

bought a bare shell, with doors and glass, for £175

 

may put shell up on ebay or here when stripped to see if someones interested when time comes! but more then likely the angle grinder will be coming out.

If I wasn't so attached to mine (because of my dad), I would have cut mine up long ago but I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. :-(

one of my mates broke his and it had a nice engine he netted about 8k. You shell is well tidy mate and cat d is fuck all. Id rather had a catd like yours than an old snotter. Plus you can show what the catd was for and again fuck all.
Shame you got to go sown that route why dont you try sell whole as a very nice car in my opinion

 

i see what your saying ian but with the high mileage and afew issues on the car i dont think i will get a good price as i would like and im not willing atm to give it away for say 3.5k so will more then likely make more in parts i think.
