As above folks, i'm after a decent rear setup, not AP's as o have those new on the fronts, just something abit more substantial than the standards.

with what you have on the front standard size discs and uprated pads should be o.k, cheapest option as well, just drill and groove discs or similar as well.

Any good factors or ebay will sell 2 calipers and a set of discs cheap but as u have to undo the drive sharft nuts and drop the wheel bearing carrier u may as well do the rear wheel bearings as well but its an easy job if i remember right there held on by 4 bolts under the wheel bearing carrier! some bodgers cut them off but why bother if its your own car lol

Are the rear brakes under performing then Pete ? Or can you just not help yourself
If you are going to the cost of changing the calipers to 4x4 you may as well get a 300mm kit (disk/bell/caliper mount) from someone like Nuts Rus.

Or just leave it alone

but that costs loads more than a 4x4 set up and the 2wd set up with non vented discs can get hot quite fast

Need the calipers anyway to go 4x4 so it's just the disks/bell/calpier spacer.
It wouldn't be loads more, Pete's loaded anyway

Someone on here pondered the idea of fitting FRS(mk1) 325 discs to the rear, from memory the offset was only 1 mm different and disc thickness was so close it would work, easy to make up some spacer plates out of 5mm mild and 4 spacer tubes to go with them, worth thinking about ?
