Default Anyone running a t34 on 1.6cvh?

Ive had a feeling for a while that i want a new turbo, mine is starting to puff blue smoke so the seals are in need of replacing.

Now im a big fan of lag as weird as it sounds and i want to have a laugh so i was thinking of putting a t34 on my car, my mate used to have one on his and he said it was stupid but for me im not all about racing, just having a laugh..

Just wanted some thoughts on it and what needs to be done to run one..

Joe.

mine has aroller bearing core, so the lag isnt too bad really

alot will depend on rear housing size

i run one on mine and they are a touch laggy but if you use the gears right then there not to bad and the kick is great but unless the rest of the engine is of good quality then it would be horrible and probably destroy a engine easily

J1mbo has just got 303bhp from a T3 on his 1.6cvh so unless your big bhp I see no reason to go that big on a cvh engine
Would be worth a pm to see what spec his is.

Here is a customers car that i fitted a T34 with a custom downpipe i made.

Running Greens and 18psi doesnt hang about, lag is not much different to a 4x4 with .48 setup.

Lol, course it's possible, it's a 325/330 bhp turbo, make the engine efficient with that 330bhp worth of air then it won't be far behind

Ps it's a right animal

Is that all he has done to the engine? Im running standard everything at the moment but i have omex on its way and a FMIC,

Might sound dumb but are greens a straight fit into 1.6cvh?

As long as the ecu is mapped for them yes.

If your standard every thing, i would spend my hard earned cash on a few other bits before a t34..

Yeah got T34 on mine as well bit of lag but rips up road as soon as it kicks in. Solved lag by 1905 conversion 14 years ago by Graham Goode (god in a race suit) and now goes like stink.
