Right im starting to see light at the end of the tunnel for my project,
im running a 4wd block with 2wd head with the lugs for turbo damper, but using a 4wd ex manifold, i have no turbo damper fitted so need to fit one b4 i use the car.
Will a damper fit straight on with this manifold?
Is a 2wd manifold a straight swap ie will my turbo suit it?
Which manifold is better?
Any more info would be great.

Better ?, depends on requirements, the shorter overall length of the 4wd manifold is less laggy than the 2wd, but becomes a limiting factor above a certain level to power, esp at the top end of the rev range.
The 4wd manifold does not use a damper ?, it doesn't need one, the way the 2wd turbo is mounted and the design of the trousers is the reason the 2wd needs a damper, it effectively acts as a lever, the damper was not put on by cosworth, but by southampton university who did the NVH on the engine when developed, certainly if below 350bhp I wouldn't bother with a 2wd one personally.

Your manifold will not rip out the exhaust studs, it will crack inside, as they all do, but this is to do with heat cycling, the same as the bypass seat cracks in the turbos, doesn't ordinarily cause an issue.
The trousers is part of the 2wd type, which has manifold that points much further down towards the floor than your 4wd type, it then needs extending(upwards) and this extension piece looks like a pair of trousers, on the end of the trousers bolts the turbo, a lot easier to understand if you see one than to describe.
NVH is Noise Vibration Harshness, three key letters for any manufacturer, to try and reduce, the damper does just that, it dampens any buzzing sensation you might get from the engine felt in the inside of the car.
